JNDI Explorer for Eclipse

At least a cursory glance at the README document is warmly recommended before installing this plug-in. Please also review the licensing requirements before using this software.

This plug-in has been developed and tested with Eclipse 2.0 (2.0.1 and 2.0.2) and Eclipse 2.1 (2.1.0 and 2.1.1). Eclipse can be downloaded at eclipse.org.

Installation Procedure

To install this plug-in for the first time:

  1. Quit Eclipse.
  2. Unzip the jndi-explorer-YYYYMMDD.zip file you downloaded. A directory named com.waldura.eclipse.jndiexplorer_x.y.z is created.
  3. Copy that com.waldura.eclipse.jndiexplorer_x.y.z directory to ECLIPSE_HOME/plugins.
  4. Restart Eclipse.
  5. Go to Window/Show View/Other... and choose Java/JNDI Explorer.
  6. More about how to use this plug-in in the README document.

When upgrading to a new version of the plug-in, the following steps MUST be completed, in addition to the basic install above, before restarting Eclipse.

  1. Delete the plug-in data directory ECLIPSE_HOME/workspace/com.waldura.eclipse.jndiexplorer .
  2. Delete the old version of the plug-in in ECLIPSE_HOME/plugins.
