Education

Master's in Software Engineering

From 1993 to 1996 I undertook the 3-year Master's degree curriculum of ESSI (École Supérieure en Sciences Informatiques), a computer engineering school located in Sophia Antipolis, France. This was a very complete degree that gave me both a deep and broad understanding of the state of computer science at the dawn of the second millennium. The focus of my degree was Distributed Systems and Applications, with main areas of interest:

  • distributed and parallel computing (systems and applications for)
  • data packet networks, such as TCP/IP
  • programming languages

The projects required for the completion of my Master's degree in software engineering are talked about on their own page.

Bachelor's Degree

Majored in Mathematics and Physics. It really was a pure math degree, about 1000 hours worth over the course of two years. Obtained at the University of La Rochelle, France, in 1993.

Le programme des études en français. Bien qu'il s'agisse là du programme de l'année 2000, il est représentatif de l'enseignement que j'ai recu.
